Clutter

Useless movie stubs,
Chocolate wrappers.
Faded old jeans.
A broken toy car, a headless figurine.
A snapshot from the good ol’ days, a painting of the autumn sunset
The clock that never got fixed, the shards of a chandelier that once broke.

Everything that had ever been within a foot’s distance from you has been dropped down the garbage chute over the years.

The only junk that remains with me now, is the undying presence of your memories in my soul, and all I can do is wait as they fade into oblivion.

I still love you, childhood.
